Dosage Amounts to be administered and administration route It should be noted that when removing the actuator from the spray pump it should be done vertically and not at an angle to ensure the pin does not get damaged. Give one or two sprays at the back of the throat. Each spray (approximately 0.1-0.2 ml) contains approximately 2-4 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride. (Approximately 72 sprays/vial). Allow 30-90 seconds before attempting intubation, so that the larynx is relaxed. Overdose Maintain a patent airway and support ventilation with oxygen.
